IAMA 

The International Association of Mediators and Arbitrators (IAMA) was established in 1991 to provide an  organization through which members may communicate and obtain pertinent information concerning current  developments in mediation and arbitration throughout the world.

eadquartered in Houston, Texas, the international energy capital of the world, IAMA's network of mediators and arbitrators  reaches far beyond the United States, promoting global understanding and acceptance of mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. 

Membership in IAMA's unique international organization provides mediators and arbitrators a wonderful opportunity to be recognized as highly qualified dispute resolution specialists.

One of the chief goals of the organization  is to promote professionalism of those involved in dispute resolution. This website was designed with that purpose in mind. It will be upgraded regularly to incorporate suggestions for improvements and to add new features.
